What size yard sign do I need?
Yard signs are available in several sizes. The size of your sign should be chosen based on the length of your message, and the distance your viewers will be reading the sign from.
• 6"x24" Yard Signs are best for simple, one-line messages and a phone number. This size sign is also commonly used as a "rider," placed on top of a larger sign, to give additional information such as a website.
• 12"x18" Yard Signs are great for two-part messages ("Landscaping ... Free Estimates") and a phone number. They are also a good size for attaching to telephone poles.
• 15"x19" Yard Signs are not too big, not too small! Four lines of text fit well on this size sign.
• 18"x24" Yard Signs are the most common size. Four to five lines of text are visible from a distance of up to 50'.
• 24"x30" Yard Signs can display a lot of information, however, consider the amount of time your viewer has to read the sign. On the other hand, a shorter, three-line message can be viewed from much further away on this size sign.
